About the event
A celebration of Heavy Metal’s influence within the art of Bellydance, Burlesque and Drag. A confluence of subversive artists with a vast array of talents, all fueled by the collective allegiance to the power of Heavy Metal. Shimmy & ShredFest gives voice to performers, new or seasoned in their craft, who search for that niche within a niche that celebrates their brand of expression. In our case, it’s Heavy Metal music entwined with Bellydance, Burlesque and Drag. Within the walls of a 137 year old Romanesque style castle, you will find vendors of all things dark and gothic, a lavish staircase leading to the classrooms, lined with stained glass turrets, auditoriums with spectacular architecture and an thunderous sound system guaranteed to satisfy. Prepare to feast your eyes, ears and voice on 3 days of Heavy Metal majesty in the WitchAtomic Collective coven. Welcome.
